Sekiro: No Defeat Previews Wolf vs Gyobu Battle in New Teaser Trailer

The upcoming SEKIRO: NO DEFEAT theatrical anime revealed a new teaser trailer featuring the battle between Wolf and Gyobu Masataka Oniwa. The anime will begin a three-week limited theatrical run in Japan on September 4, 2026.

The new clip shows the confrontation at the Ashina Castle Gate, with Gyobu entering the battlefield and facing Wolf. You can watch the video below.

The anime is being produced by studio Qzil.la, which is known for working with numerous AI technologies and projects. This caused a part of the audience to believe that the anime adaptation would itself utilize generative AI, which prompted an official statement from the production committee to confirm there will be ‘no generative AI’ used.
