New retailer-exclusive illustrations for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc Chapter 1: Akaza Returns have been revealed ahead of the film’s Blu-ray and DVD release on July 29.

The new artwork will be used for store-specific purchase bonuses and merchandise related to the upcoming home video release. The first illustration, created for Animate, features Tanjiro Kamado and Giyu Tomioka together.

Amazon’s exclusive illustration features the Insect Hashira, Shinobu Kocho:

Finally, Rakuten Books received an illustration featuring Zenitsu Agatsuma, giving the fan-favorite character a dedicated retailer-exclusive artwork featuring his Thunder Breathing technique Seventh Form: Flaming Thunder God.

The three visuals represent the first look at the retailer bonus artwork campaign for the release, with each store receiving its own exclusive character illustration for the accompanying merchandise and purchase incentives.

The anime premiered in Japan on July 18, 2025 and then went on a record-breaking run, earning over 25 billion yen (approximately 174 million USD) in the first 31 days.

Following its domestic debut, it launched internationally on August 14, hitting North American theaters on September 12 and breaking even more records. It film expanded to SCREENX and ULTRA 4DX screenings in Japan starting on February 20. This marked the franchise’s first entry into multi-screen and immersive 4DX formats.

Demon Slayer Background

Koyoharu Gotoge wrote and illustrated the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga series. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 2016 to May 2020, ending with a total of 23 published volumes.

The anime adaptation by ufotable began with the 26-episode Season 1, which aired from April to September 2019. Following its success, the sequel movie, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train followed in October 2020 and arguably began the entire anime movie boom. The movie was then re-edited and shown as part of the 18-episode Season 2, which aired from October 2021 to February 2022. The 11-episode Season 3 aired from April to June 2023, while Season 4 aired from May to June 2024 and set the stage for the endgame.
