Anime Expo 2026 has officially started, and it’s set to reveal dozens of new trailers, visuals, and announcements for all the hype anime. Follow with us live as we go through each day and share everything that gets announced.
The first day will be the warm up, while days 2 and 3 are expected to hold the majority of the news.
Day 1
Starting with Day 1, July 2. As we waited for the panels to start, we attended Hulu’s Animayhem and walked around. Check out some photos from the event below.
The first major news arrived during Aniplex’s Industry Panel.
The Elusive Samurai
The Elusive Samurai Season 2 showed the teaser trailer, before revealing the premiere date to be July 17. This is the last Summer 2026 anime to get its premiere date.
GROW UP SHOW ~Sunflower Circus~
An English dub trailer was shown for the new anime, confirming that the dub will be available upon release.
MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES
It was announced that MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES Season 3 will premiere in January 2027. The first teaser trailer was also shown.
ALIEN STAGE
ALIEN STAGE announced that an anime series is in production during its panel.
Star Wars Visions
Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi shared a trailer, along with an August 5 premiere for the new series.
And that’s it for the major announcements from Day 1. The first day usually has a few announcements, with Day 2 tomorrow promising to bring the first look at Gachiakuta Season 2, A-1 Pictures industry panel, Crunchyroll’s showcase panel, and way more. Stay tuned!
Day 2
Gachiakuta
The first look teaser was shared for Gachiakuta Season 2, featuring several new characters. No release date revealed.
STEEL BALL RUN JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure
It was announced that STEEL BALL RUN JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure will run for 11 episodes starting on September 25, with weekly streaming every Friday. A new trailer was also shown and three additional cast members are:
- Tomoaki Maeno as Mountain Tim
- Tomokazu Sugita as Funny Valentine
- Yoko Hikasa as Hot Pants
Up next is Crunchyroll’s showcase panel, which they teased with “sneak peeks, studio spotlights, announcements, and surprises along the way.”
Solo Leveling: Beyond the System
Solo Leveling is officially getting a new anime film, titled Solo Leveling: Beyond the System. he movie is co-produced by Aniplex, D&C Media & Crunchyroll. A concept video was also released.
The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn’t a Guy At All
The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn’t a Guy At All revealed a new teaser, confirming studio CloverWorks to be in charge of the animation. The anime will have Nirvana’s “Breed” as the opening theme song, as revealed by Dave Grohl himself. Mariya Ise and Akari Kito will star in the series.
The Vermilion Mask
The Vermilion Mask has revealed its first main trailer along with the main Japanese voice cast. The anime was previously confirmed as a two-part series, set to premiere in October 2026.
Magical Buffs: The Support Caster is Stronger Than He Realized!
Magical Buffs: The Support Caster is Stronger Than He Realized! revealed a new teaser trailer. Studio J.C. Staff is animating the series.
Gacha Girls Corps
Gacha Girls Corps revealed a new trailer. It is slated to premiere in January 2027 with Zero-G and Saber Works animating the series.
Overgeared
Overgeared anime has revealed its first full trailer, a new key visual, and two additional cast members ahead of its October 2026 premiere.
The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 5
The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 5 revealed a new trailer, confirming a 2027 release date. Hitoshi Haga is directing Season 5 at studio Kinema Citrus.
Fate Rewinder
Fate Rewinder revealed a new teaser trailer and visual. Studio Bones Film is animating the series set to begin in April 2027. Rie Matsumoto, whose previous direction credits include Kyosogiga (2013) and Blood Blockade Battlefront (Kekkai Sensen, 2015), directs the new anime.
Here U Are
Here U Are anime adaptation was announced and a trailer was also released. Rouseact is producing the anime and Tomoe Makino is the director.
Witch Hat Atelier Season 2
Witch Hat Atelier Season 2 revealed an ultra teaser trailer. The sequel was confirmed immediately after the first season’s finale was broadcast in Japan.
Dengeki Daisy
Dengeki Daisy anime adaptation revealed the main cast in a teaser trailer. Sota Ueno (Days with My Stepsister) is directing the anime at Studio DEEN. The voice cast includes:
- Yoshino Aoyama as Teru Kurebayashi
- Taku Yashiro as Tasuku Kurosaki
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends anime revealed new character visuals ahead of its 2027 release date. Studio KAMIKAZE DOUGA will be in charge of the animation.
Kagubarachi
At this year’s Anime Expo, KAGURABACHI featured an exclusive preview screening of 20 minutes of Episode 1. This comes as part of the first stop on KAGURABACHI‘s Anime World Tour ahead of the anime’s official broadcast in April 2027. One of our team members managed watch the screening and they reviewed it as bloody and brilliant.
Aside from Kagubarachi, our team also watched Jaadugar and Sparks of Tomorrow, both of which are promising.
Day 3
BLEACH: Mirrors High
BLEACH: Mirrors High game revealed a new trailer and details on the two protagonists.
Persona 4: Revival
Persona 4: Revival announced that it will have all of the anime scenes in the game animated by studio MAPPA.
MURCIÉLAGO
The anime adaptation of MURCIÉLAGO was officially announced for 2027. The staff was also revealed, along with a teaser trailer and visual.
Magic Knight Rayearth 2026
Magic Knight Rayearth new anime project revealed the second main trailer and key visual, along with more voice cast and an October 7 premiere date.
Black Clover Season 2
A new trailer was shown.
Delicious in Dungeon Season 2
The first visual was revealed, along with confirming an October 2027 Netflix release date.
Devils’ Crest
Devils’ Crest, adapting another novel by Sword Art Creator Reki Kawahara, revealed the first teaser trailer, visual, voice cast and staff. Production I.G is animating. The opening theme song is “Shinka by Ado, and you can hear it in the trailer below.
Jurassic Shadows
A brand-new original anime project directed by Norihiro Naganuma, best known for The Apothecary Diaries. It marks his first full-scale action project and reunites him with several key staff members from the series. They describe it as an “action series that combines dinosaurs, ninjas, and a unique makeup-based power system.”
THE GHOST IN THE SHELL
A new trailer for the anime by Science SARU was shown, introducing the opening theme song “GO GHOST” by King Gnu.
BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War (TYBW)
BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War (TYBW) revealed the final trailer for Part 4, which is subtitled The Calamity. The trailer was first shown during the event.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End
Frieren: Beyond the Journey’s End has concluded its Anime Expo 2026 panel with the reveal of the main staff working on Season 3. The core team from the previous season is returning, including:

- Director Cooperation: Keiichiro Saito
- Series Composition: Tomohiro Suzuki
- Character Design: Takase Maru, Keisuke Kojima

Black Clover Season 2
The main trailer for Black Clover Season 2 was revealed, teasing a lot of action ahead of its October 2026 release. WANIMA performs the theme song.
Day 4
The last day of Anime Expo 2026 is here! Not much is expected on the final day, but stay tuned for any surprise announcements.
