Akiba Station Returns to L.A. Comic Con 2026 Bigger Than Last Year

Akiba Station will return to Los Angeles Comic Con this year with a larger footprint, expanded attractions, and additional anime programming after making its debut at the convention in 2025.

Organized in partnership with Otaku Collectives, the dedicated anime and Japanese pop culture area will once again be part of Los Angeles Comic Con, which is set to run from October 30 until November 1 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

According to the announcement, this year’s Akiba Station will feature larger themed environments inspired by Japan, interactive activities, exclusive merchandise, and expanded participation from returning partners. Organizers also confirmed that additional anime brands, artists, voice actors, and special guests will be announced in the coming weeks.

Chris DeMoulin, CEO/GM of Los Angeles Comic Con parent Comikaze Entertainment, Inc. commented:

From the beginning, our vision for Akiba Station has been to create a space that feels authentic to the anime community and gives fans a dedicated place to celebrate the culture they love. With Otaku Collectives, we wanted to create an experience where fans walk in and feel like they’ve found their place, surrounded by the stories, worlds, and creators that brought them to anime in the first place.

The expanded space will include new Japanese-inspired scenery, including cherry blossom installations, curated displays, and themed environments designed for fan interactions and photo opportunities.

Akiba Station debuted at Los Angeles Comic Con in 2025 as a dedicated 40,000-square-foot anime and Japanese pop culture hub created in collaboration with Otaku Collectives. The organizers said the positive response from attendees led to this year’s expansion, with the goal of making it a recurring destination for anime fans attending the convention.

Los Angeles Comic Con is one of North America’s largest pop culture conventions, featuring programming across comics, anime, gaming, film, television, and collectibles.
