Summer 2022 has reached its end, and anime fans are still listening and enjoying their favorite theme songs from the season. This summer certainly came with an abundance of catchy and beautiful tracks, with most of them now released in their full glory on mainstream music streaming platforms. Just like always, we’ve created a ranking to determine which anime songs from the season were most-listened to on Spotify. Both the full and top 10 Spotify stream rankings for the Summer 2022 openings and endings anime songs are available below!
Note that not all the Summer 2022 anime opening and ending songs have been officially released on Spotify, and all song streams are counted as of October 9, 2022 and rounded to the nearest thousand. Tracks from shorts anime, kids anime, and films are excluded, and we began including songs from long-running shows in the rankings this year.
As it appears on this chart, “Yofukashi no Uta“ (Call of the Night) by Creepy Nuts, the ending theme of the anime named after it, takes first place with an incredible 17,441,000 streams! The show’s opening “Daten“ from the same artist follows in second at 11,069,000. Taking third is Cyberpunk Edgerunner’s opening “This Fffire” by Franz Ferdinand with 8,345,000 listens. The same anime’s ending “Let You Down” by Dawid Podsiadło comes behind at fourth.
