The Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2 revealed a new visual along with the opening and ending theme song artists and a July 8 premiere date. MYTH & ROID will sing the opening song “Why? RED induction” while the ending song “Weiter! Weiter!” is performed by Tanya Degurechaff (voiced by Aoi Yuki).
A trailer was released at AnimeJapan 2026 featuring the cast who will be reprising their roles for the second season:

Takayuki Yukimoto is directing the sequel at Studio NUT, with Kenta Ihara in charge of the series composition and Yuji Hosogoe as the character designer and chief animation director. The anime is based on the The Saga of Tanya the Evil novel written by Carlo Zen with illustrations by Shinobu Shinotsuki. The first season of the anime premiered in January 2017, and a movie titled Saga of Tanya the Evil: The Movie was released in Japan in February 2019.
Crunchyroll is streaming the first season, describing the story:
It is June of the year CE 1923. A young girl with blond hair and blue eyes, Tanya Degurechaff, has entered the final curriculum of the Imperial Military Academy and is training at the third patrol line in the northern military district, the Norden Theater, as part of her service to the force. Her training, the first step toward a brilliant career as an aviation mage, should have gone off without a hitch… but things took an unexpected turn.
