ZERO-G is animating the sequel. Masahiro Takata will be back to direct and write the script for the second season with Tomoko Shinozuka and Takahito Onishi also returning to write the script. Mariko Kawamoto is the new character designer, replacing Makoto Shimojima. The cast will reprise their roles:

  • Junya Enoki as Ray White
  • Iori Saeki as Amelia Ros
  • Nana Harumura as Elisa Griffith
  • Azumi Waki as Rebecca Bradley
  • Kaede Hondo as Claris Cleveland
  • Akira Sekine as Ariana Algren
  • Yuichirou Umehara as Evi Armstrong
  • Atsumi Tanezaki as Lydia Ainsworth
  • Nanako Mori as Abbie Garnet
  • Maaya Uchida as Carol Caroline

Based on the light novel written by Nana Mikoshiba, the series was initially launched in October 2019 on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website and was later acquired by Kodansha. It was published with illustrations by Riko Korie in July 2020. A manga adaptation illustrated by Norihito Sasaki began in June 2020.

Kodansha USA is licensing the manga in English and describes the first volume as:
The Arnold Academy of Magic is a school for the elite…and Ray White is just your ordinary guy. In fact, he doesn’t seem particularly skilled with magic at all, and is a bit of a klutz. Which is why he has nothing to do with the rumor that one of the great magicians, the Iceblade Sorcerer, is a member of the incoming class…right?

I can talk about seiyuus for days and a connoisseur of cute girls doing cute things. Fluffy romance and girls coming of age stories always make me smile. I mostly watch slice-of-life and rom-coms with drama on the side. A firm believer of the girls' band era.
