After an eight-year serialization, Norio Sakurai’s rom-com manga, The Dangers in My Heart, is concluding. BokuYaba‘s latest chapter (chapter 196) announced the manga would end in three chapters. Norio-san had previously announced that the series would conclude in its 14th volume.

Weekly Shonen Magazine (Akita Shonen) began serializing The Dangers in My Heart in March 2018. Akita Shonen then transferred the manga to their Champion Cross website in April of that year. In July, the publisher combined the Champion Cross website with Champion Tap! to create the new Manga Cross site.

Manga Cross has since serialized BokuYaba and has continued to do so even after an April 2024 relaunch that renamed the website as Champion Cross. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the manga in English.

Studio Shin-Ei Animation adapted The Dangers in My Heart into two TV anime and a theatrical compilation film. The studio previously announced a third season. HIDIVE and Anime Digital Network stream the anime.

The Dangers in My Heart follows the love life of Kyotaro Ichikawa and Anna Yamada.

Kyotaro and Anna appear to be two people who’d never interact. While Anna is affable, kawaii, and one of her school’s sweethearts, Kyo-kun fantasizes about murder and the mac a bre. And while Kyo-kun would be happy to do the Dahmer with just about anyone, his fantasies always turn to Anna. But when the two spend time together, Kyo-kun is surprised to find that the girl who thought so little of him is actually super endearing! And after their first few interactions, whenever Kyo-kun sees and hangs out with Anna, his thoughts aren’t of murder; they’re of love!
