The Case Files of Biblia Bookstore TV anime revealed a teaser visual and trailer along with a 2027 premiere on Wednesday. CloverWorks is animating the series and the main staff and cast were also announced.
Mamoru Kanbe is directing the anime with Ayako Kurata as assistant director. Toshiya Ohno is handling the series composition while Jun Nakai is the character designer and chief animation supervisor. Takahiro Obata is composing the music. The cast includes:
- Riko Akechi as Shioriko Shinokawa
- Shunsuke Takeuchi as Daisuke Goura
The anime is based on a light novel series by En Mikami and illustrated by Hagu Koshijima. ASCII Media Works’ Media Works Bunko imprint has been publishing since 2011. Aside from the anime adaptation, the title has also been adapted into a manga series, a television drama, and a live-action film. Crunchyroll streams the live-action adaptation and they describe it as:
Shinokawa Shioriko is the proprietor of Biblia Antiquarian Bookshop, her sidekick Goura Daisuke, her lanky gofer and protector, has trouble reading books; they make him dizzy. Shioriko is demure and introverted, an expert on vintage books, a great storyteller, and of course, a lover of books; she also has amazing powers of logical deduction, and can solve big mysteries from the smallest of clues. The unlikely pair join forces to unravel secrets and hidden meanings to help people looking for answers, and the true answers are never what they expect.
