The winners of the 16th Annual Seiyu Awards have been announced on March 5, 2022. Megumi Ogata won the best leading actress while Kensho Ono took home the best leading actor award. Hiro Shimono also secured the award for Most Valuable Seiyu, which is traditionally chosen by fan votes.

Instead of the special achievement award, the 16th Seiyu Awards paid respect to the voice actors who passed away during the last year (2021). These included:
