Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 (Season 2) has been announced, and it will feature 9 new short episodes from 9 animation studios from across the globe. They will premiere on Disney Plus (Disney+) on a date often used to celebrate the Star Wars franchise, May the 4th. You can watch the teaser trailer:

The titles and studios for the new batch are:

  • “Journey to the Dark Head” by Studio Mir. It will be directed by Hyeong Geun Park and show the first prehistoric Jedi-Sith War.
  • “I Am Your Mother” by Aardman, directed by Magdalena Osinska.
  • “Sith” by El Guiri Studios. It will be directed by Rodrigo Blaas.
  • “Screecher’s Reach” by Cartoon Saloon. It will be directed by Paul Young, and is described as an “Irish ghost story with a twist”.
  • “In the Stars” by Punkrobot, written and directed by Gabriel Osorio.
  • “Aau’s Song” by Triggerfish. It will be written and directed by Nadia Darries and Daniel Clarke.
  • “The Pit” by D’art Shtajio and Lucasfilm Ltd. Written, directed and executive produced by LeAndre Thomas and co-directed by Justin Ridge.
  • “The Spy Dancer” by Studio La Cachette. It will be written and directed by Julien Chheng and focus on the La Résistance.
  • “The Bandits of Golak” by 88 Pictures. It will be directed by Ishan Shukla and executive produced by 88 Pictures founder Milind D. Shinde.

Back in September 2021, the first episodes were released. The involved studios were Production I.G, Studio Trigger, Kinema Citrus, Studio Colorido, Science SARU, Kamikaze Douga and Geno Studio.

A collaboration between Lucasfilm and Studio Ghibli in the form of an original hand-drawn animated Star Wars short by Ghibli was released in November of last year. The full title of the animated short is Zen – Grogu and Dust Bunnies, and it is also streaming on Disney Plus.
