A new browser game based on the Petals of Reincarnation series has officially opened pre-registration. Titled Petals of Reincarnation BLOOM, the game is developed by CTW Inc. for the G123 platform. It will be free-to-play with in-game purchases. We recently had the chance to interview CTW CEO Ryuichi Sasaki, who talked about G12 and why browser-based gaming is still relevant.
The title marks the first online game adaptation of the series and will be playable on both smartphone and PC browsers without requiring downloads. Players will take on the role of Toya Senji, going into battles against enemies known as Sinners. The gameplay is structured as an idle MMORPG, with automated combat systems that will allow players to focus on character progression, team formation, and strategy.
The game is set within Neumann’s digital space, where players guide Toya and his allies while customizing them through gear, talents, and weapons. Pre-registration is available through the official website and social channels.
The Petals of Reincarnation (Rinkaneshon no Kaben) manga is written and drawn by Mikihisa Konishi. It began serialization in Mag Garden’s Monthly Comic Blade magazine in July 2014, while it transferred to the publisher’s Comic Blade website in September of the same year. There are 23 published volumes, with over 3 million copies in circulation. Mangamo licensed the manga in English, describing the story:
Toya Senji is talentless. He”s tried everything but he can”t seem to excel at anything no matter how hard he tries. Then he meets Haito, a Kendo champion and… humanity”s protector? She uses the Stem of Reincarnation to draw on the abilities of her past lives, but it only works when she slits her own throat. And now she wants Toya to join her?!
The anime adaptation by BENTEN Film is currently streaming on HIDIVE.
