Firefly Wedding TV anime revealed its second teaser trailer, revealing two additional cast members ahead of its October 9, 2026 premiere. The first promotional video was revealed in March.
Kento Ito will voice Kotaro Ogawa, while Kenjiro Tsuda joined the cast as Mitsueda. They join previously announced leads Lynn as Satoko Kirigaya and Koki Uchiyama as Shinpei Goto.
Takahiro Kamei is directing the series at studio david production (Fire Force). Yuko Kakihara is handling series composition and scripts, with Yukiko Aikei as character designer. Music is composed by NOGRID. You can watch the new trailer below.
Ahead of the broadcast, a premiere screening will be held in Japan on September 6. The event will screen the first three episodes and feature a talk with Lynn, Koki Uchiyama, and Kento Ito.
Oreco Tachibana’s original manga is serialized through Shogakukan’s MangaONE app. The series has surpassed 4.5 million copies in circulation, with 12 collected volumes currently available. It previously also won the 2024 Digital Comic Award. The story follows Satoko, the daughter of a prestigious family who has been told she has little time left to live. Her goal is to marry into another prominent family and make her father proud, but her life changes after she gets kidnapped.
Facing a desperate situation alongside assassin Shinpei, Satoko lies and proposes marriage to him, promising that he can have everything if they become a couple. Unexpectedly, Shinpei takes the proposal seriously and becomes devoted to Satoko as she struggles between her responsibilities and her growing feelings for him.
