CygamesPictures has completed its transition into a consolidated subsidiary of CyberAgent and rebranded as Cypic as of April 6, 2026, marking the studio’s 10th anniversary. CyberAgent previously opened CA Soa, a new anime production studio led by Masakazu Ogawa with the aim of establishing “new methods of anime production by combining CyberAgent’s technological expertise with its creative vision.”
The restructuring was first announced on February 6, with CyberAgent acquiring shares to bring the studio under its direct umbrella. As part of the new structure, CyberAgent president Takahiro Yamauchi joined the company’s board, alongside existing leadership including president Nobuhiro Takenaka.
Following the transition, the studio officially changed its name to Cypic on April 6 and began operations under the new branding. The company stated that while the name has changed, its approach to animation production will remain consistent.
To commemorate its 10th anniversary, Cypic launched an official YouTube channel and released a commemorative video titled “線が叫ぶぜ” (The Line Screams). The video was produced internally by staff and is described as a reflection of the entire studio’s work and creative process.
In addition, the company established a new in-house music label, Cypic RECORDS, with the anniversary song serving as its first release. The track featured in the video is performed by Masashi Ito, with lyrics by Kosuke Umeshita and Naoto Kiyota, and composition and arrangement by Naoto Kiyota. Music production is handled by Cypic RECORDS, with Koji Sato (SCOOP MUSIC) credited for the music production.
