The stage play adaptation of Chainsaw Man is returning with a new production titled Chainsaw Man The Stage: Reze Arc, scheduled to run in Tokyo in July 2026 and Kyoto in August 2026. Chainsaw Man The Stage first debuted in 2023, adapting the early Public Safety arc of the series.
The main cast has been revealed, with Naotake Tsuchiya reprising his role as Denji and Yui Soma cast as Reze. Additional cast members include Mizuki Umetsu as Aki Hayakawa, Mahiru Coda as Power, and Aya Hirano as Makima.
The production is, of course, based on the manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto. It will be written and directed by Fumiya Matsuzaki, with music by Shunsuke Wada and choreography by HIDALI.
Tatsuki Fujimoto first started the Chainsaw Man manga in 2018, and Part 1 ended in 2020 with a total of 97 chapters and 11 volumes. Part 2 began in July 2022, running for 135 chapters until its ending on March 25. Viz Media licensed the manga in English.
The first anime season premiered last fall, and it ran for a total of 12 episodes. MAPPA CEO Manabu Otsuka said that the Chainsaw Man anime was a complete financial success. Kenshi Yonezu performed the opening theme song “KICK BACK,” while each episode had a different ending theme song performed by a different artist.
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc premiered in 2025, winning the title of the Anime Movie of the Year at our yearly awards. Chainsaw ManInternational Assassins Arc anime is currently in production.

Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita.
One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man”–a man with a devil’s heart.
