BLEACH THE STORIES retrospective revealed a new Thousand-Year Blood War arc visual, featuring a demi hollowfied Ichigo Kurosaki. The series previously revealed five visuals as part of the project.
The new visual is an additional installment in a commemorative series that reimagined Tite Kubo’s artwork of Ichigo Kurosaki throughout the franchise’s history. Each illustration recreated different parts of Ichigo’s journey in anime form, with the new visual again focusing on the Thousand-Year Blood War.
The retrospective campaign was launched as the build-up for BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity, the fourth and final cour of the new anime adaptation by PIERROT FILMS. The previous visuals included:
- Substitute Soul Reaper Arc
- Soul Society Arc
- The Arrancar Arc
- The Lost Agent Arc
- Thousand-Year Blood War Arc
A combined version featuring all five previouls visuals connected together was also previously released.
Created by Tite Kubo, BLEACH was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2001 to 2016 and concluded with 74 volumes. The manga has exceeded 130 million copies in circulation worldwide, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time.
The original anime adaptation aired from 2004 to 2012 and received four theatrical films. The franchise returned in 2022 with BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War, adapting the manga’s final arc. Its final part (Part 4) premiered on July 25. Tite Kubo previously said that it will include even more original material than the previous parts, expanding the manga’s final battles.
